The public library has several platforms that are used to access ebooks, audiobooks, music, magazines, comics and even movies.

Please keep in mind, a public library account gives you FREE access to these platforms, but you still MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT.

1. Over 30,000 documentaries, popular films, international films, and learning videos, including selections from The Great Courses.
2. Includes Kanopy Kids - The kids’ selection is curated to support early literacy, STEM education, and even foreign language learning. Using favorite children’s characters from Sesame Street, PBS Kids, Weston Woods, and more, this collection of kids films inspire empathy, critical thinking, and self-esteem in young viewers.
3. Kanopy requires creating an account with an email address and password
4. Kanopy has a number of titles with public performance rights (there is a PPR icon on the title details page of any title that has those rights)

Click on Read, Listen, Watch.

Then click on eBooks and Audiobooks.

Click on the words Maryland’s Digital Library.

Click on "Sign In" on the upper left hand side of the screen.

Choose St. Mary’s County Library.

For “Card Number” you will enter your username: (smcps + your school username)

Then click on Sign In.
